I also feel panic when I drive. I've learned that turning on the radio does help as well as counting in multiples of 3. 3, 9, 12, etc. I guess it helps keep you focused on something other than your panic. When I'm driving with passengers, I like to talk my panic away. I don't talk about it, necessarily, but I ask questions. It may sound like 'crazy talk,' but who cares, there's no such thing. I did this last week when I went to get a haircut. It made the time go by faster, at least. Also, as the others have said, if you need to pull over-do it and feel confident that you are a good mother because you did what you could to protect the safety of those in the car with you. Also, I open the window and try to enjoy driving by thinking about the wind blowing, etc. It may work-good luck.
