I think you were very brave too walrus!!!!!  Interviews are so scarey,,,even when I know I am good for the the job i still feel incredibly nervous,,,i just keep thinking what if I turn red, what if I stutter,,,,,then it happens and it reinforced the fear.  But I know friends of mine who just avoid interviews altogether....Obviosuly this is not a good career move and they are depressed they cannot excell in the workforce. So at least you are still trying.  You deserve a big CONGRATS!

Hi Walrus,

You should be very proud of yourself for pushing yourself to do this interview dispite how nervous it can make you.  Good for you. Many people hate interviews and try to avoid them all together but not you, you tried anyways. Ok so you didn't do too well in the interview.  That is ok.  Everyone on this earth has blown an interview at least once.  It is ok to fail.  The more you fail the more you are trying.  Try to think of each failure as a success.  I know it sounds silly but it is really true.  You failed, ok but you still tried and you are going to keep trying until it is easier.  How else does anyone get  better at anything?  So congratulations for trying.  YOU did it!

Walrus, how will you be rewarding yourself by pushing yourself?

Also, what does it mean to you to know that you were strong enough to try even though you felt scared?

Members, please share your interview experiences.

Hi Walrus,

I think you were very brave to go for that interview in the first place. Interviews are very nerve wracking anyway, even worse if you suffer from anxiety. You should take comfort in the fact that you got through it. Maybe you didnt do as well as you would have liked, I know what that feels like! If you are feeling anxious right now do you really want a more responsible job? Maybe you are not ready yet. You got so worked up about the interview that you still anxious after the fact. This is totally understandable, so much nervous energy takes time to dissipate. Do something nice for yourself if you can  good luck!

and you know how anxious it is to go for a job interviews..

I thought i would feel a bit relief after the interview is over .. but now I am feeling worse, since I did badly at the interview (it is an interview for a higher post in the same company).. my mind went blank and I was not able to answer most of the questions asked by the panel .. after the preparations that I did, I should have done much better...

 i'm shaking right now...
