Davit,
Thanks for giving me a lift.
I was affected positively by mom's appreciation of the beauty of some trees we can see, and their beauty. It took years, to see this change in her, and I am grateful. The stark reality outside of her view, is that there are streets blocked off, because of downed power lines, and even on our street, and out of her view, are downed trees.
I was actually thinking that I could make a killing with an axe, if I just did some chopping, and collected all the wood. And it would save the city money too! My hands hurt though, and I want to give them a rest, and am actually blessed with not having to cook for some days, since we have some stuff prepared.
I could take a picture from the park later, and post it. I'd almost feel it inappropriate to take pics of any neighbours, since there is uncertainty what their hardship could have been, with power having been out so long for so many, and knowing there are so many retired and isolated people. I really have to harness some of the preparedness people like yourself take for granted. Having a first aid blanket and CPR starter bag, got me to chuck it into the trunk, as a start today. A memory of dad was that he assisted at my godparent's home at an accident, since they lived near the highway, where there were occasional collisions. I have a bbq I won too, but a simple one, and feel I could learn to use it, since there could other situations when I might need to cook.
