Shevie, no worries on the one word thing. I feel bad for you and for Delia, sounds like she was unassuming and minding her own. It's okay for dogs not to like each other. It's too bad that the other handler was not in contro and took his/her pet off leash (unless allowed). If you know your pet, you know their temperment and when unsure - you have got to be right there ! Good of you to be "the rock" during this tough time for your wife. Try not to worry in advance (I do this a lot) it just jangles your nerves for no reason. Hopefully the other owner will step up and be honest about the situation and for not paying more attention to his pet! Hope this works out to your advantage.
