Hi Angelic, I'm stillgoing strong on my quit. Glad to see ther's more of us. To Brit the first week is the hardest so you have something to look forward to. I clicked on the notify me when someone replies and I got all thoses e-mails I hope they stopped. The amount of money I save isn't really right cuz I was going by 23.00 a carton without the tax so I"m really saving more than the quit meter shows. I quit 3/5 and am cautious about the future. I quit before for about 9 mos. but my 90 yo Dad came to visit and it drove me nuts so I went back. What a mistake. Nothins gonna get me this time. judy

Hi Angelic..My quit date was 3 5 so that puts me one day behind you.Seems there were a lot who quit at that time but haven't seen some post. Everytime I post no one comments but it is good to read all these words of encouragement. I seem to be doing fine and that is the scarey part because something can jump out tomorrow to try to get me. I wonder how long it takes for the stink to get out of my garage? I smoke there cuz it's too cold on patio. My son even smelled my hair to make sure I wasn't sneaking. My nose smells lot more things now but not as welll as a never smoker. Let's get a group going. judy

My quit day was March 1. I would be glad to join the group. I feel I have pretty well licked this thing for now. I read where someone posted that they no longer had associations. Thought that saying was pretty neat, because that is how I smoked. I associated my smoking with things I did. Well I have pretty much got over my associations.
Ronko, I congradulate you on your quit and the effort you are taking to quit. I myself know that I cannot have just cigarette because that an excuse to have another, then the cycle begins.

Hi, My date is March 1. I am doing ok. I am on the patch and still have some pretty hard times. But the outcome is worth it. The long term definitely scares me. Never having one!! Scary. I am just trying to do a day at a time. I know I am an addict. Afraid of the day the patches come off. Good luck to everyone.
