I quit smoking on Feb.1st, cold turkey. I did this because I had enough of feeling guilty of putting my health at risk. My guilt was a long time coming. I smoked for 35yrs. That little voice in my head kept visiting me through time after time, till one day I simple had enough. I put out my cigarette and said aloud, "I am done". Right then and there I said aloud, " I am done". Jumped on the 'net', found this site, and the rest is history. This is the eve of my one year smoke free. The plan for me was this site, and of course, the 'want' to quit once in for all. Hey look, **** will happen every time you turn the corner, so there is no right time to quit. Only ready time to quit. Look at your situation in the eye...without the excuse to smoke. Just you. Have you ever felt how that might feel?
I have. Let me tell you, very strange, but very liberating.
