I have a friend in the hospital dying from lung cancer and he did not smoke, but he attended years of those 12 step smoking meetings. He was never anti-smoking, never complained about being in a room full of smoke. He's a nice man and I will miss him when he's gone.
Thank God we have quit polluting other people's air. It's one of my quit motivations. I am not posting this for sympathy, I am posting it for courage - for me and you, and for the Darrells in the world - to keep going, to keep quitting, to stay on this path, no matter what. Because there ARE consequences far outweighing the discomfort and stress of quitting.
