Phillip, I just got home from work myself a while ago and hopped on hoping to hear you're still hangin' in. And you are. Yeah!!! Is your happy face slowly coming back? I hope so. Maybe you're suffering from PMS... Pissy Mood Syndrome. lol. If you are I can tell you from experience it does pass, though not without a tub of ice cream and a funny movie. Tommorow, Tommorow,.... you know the rest. redrosie

Hi Phillip, I'm glad you posted, I knew you weren't feeling yourself today. (There's a joke there, but I'll be good.)lol. I know what you mean by that taste in your mouth, but I haven't had it in a while. I wonder why you're getting it now? Strange hey? You just seem to be having a blah day today. Remember you had them before you quit, so try not to associate it to much with missing ciggies. It's crazy how much and how quickly our moods can change. I had a blah day myself a few days ago. Don't know why or how, but now today all is right in the world again. Us humans are strange animals don't ya think? Cobenfan had some great advice for you. You need to change your perspective for awhile. Your fun-loving side will come back before you know it. LOOK OVER THERE!!! Here it comes now!!! It's crossing the road with the chicken!!! lol. I know, I know, I'm crazy!! Acceptance is a beautiful thing!! Chin up, Smile on!! Phillip... I hope you are feeling better today. Keep it simple hun. One step at a time, one foot in front of the other. When you feel like you can't take another step, take one anyway. Post when you need it. Others will help you get through the tough times. You are doing what it takes to stay quit. Keep doing it. Don't forget the rewards..they are important. Hi, Phillip. Sorry to hear your're feeling down today. Those days are real bummers. And I remember the metallic taste, too. I'm so glad that finally went away. It was really annoying. I think CobenFan has the answer -- reward time. You're halfway to the beach, 52 days quit. That is an awesome accomplishment, and you've done it with great style and grace. For that you should feel proud. So go do something nice and special for yourself that makes you smile. You have certainly earned it. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 322 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,453 Amount Saved: $1223.6 Life Gained: Days: 60 Hrs: 3 Mins: 40 Seconds: 59

R-D Man - I used to have days like that even when I smoked. I've had a few like that now that I've stopped. True - I've had a few more of them, but they pass. easy to say - tough to live through - I know. Hang in there buddy.
