Zyban,
You said exactly what I'm feeling. I would love to say "don't worry about the past... it's the present that matters" but the truth is that in less than 2 weeks, I would have been a year quit and I'm terrified to death of how I'm going to react on that day, knowing that I threw that quit away. I've already cried about it and have started my pity party a little early, so I can only imagine how upset I will be when that day arrives shortly. I know that I have a great quit going now as do you and we should both be proud of our successes instead of mourning our lost quits, but at the same time, I know where you're coming from. It's not easy to see others celebrating milestones that you should be celebrating. So, as I say this to you, keep in mind that I'm really talking to myself as well. We both have a lot to be proud of! We're making this our final quit!!!!! I know that I have learned from my mistakes of my past quits, as I'm sure you have too. We wouldn't be where we are now if we hadn't made those mistakes and learned from them. So rejoice in your 79 days (and I'll try to rejoice in my 2?? days too). We're doing it NOW... and that's all that matters.
Crave the Quit!
Pam
