My wife and daughter came to my rescue this weekend. As you've all noted, question after question and never a "Good Job" or an "atta boy"
My daughter Becca, 13 yrs old, bless her heart asked me why I seemed edgy. I told her. That afternoon she was in the kitchen with her Mother and they were busy, I was in the TV room with the uncle holding on for dear life. What were they doing?
I found out that night. After supper they presented me with a cake that my daughter had made all on her own so they say. It was a sheet cake, vanilla with vanilla frosting, my favorite. They had decorated it with a big number 53 as it was Saturday and that was day 53.
The sang "Happy fifty three to you..... Happy fifty three to you..."
Yes, it was a tough day but they showed me how much they appreciated my efforts. That made it all worth it to me.
I wouldn't trade my family for my life.
