Breaking Free, it might be helpful if you make a list of milestones and what rewards would be good for when you reach them. I did this in my quit journal:
Daily reward: Sit outside for 15 minutes alone and really let go.
Weekly reward: (Pick one) Go to a wonderful shop -- books, candles, etc -- and browse.
At one month: New gear for walking - shoes, pedometer, socks, heart rate monitor.
At six weeks: Redo my guest bathroom with new towels, shower curtain, etc...all new colors.
I found that scheduling my rewards ahead of time seemed more deliberate and seemed more like rewards. However there are still times when I say to myself "Hmmmm, I've been good...time for a Chai Latte."
