I thought the same thing about 20 years ago after not smoking for 6 years. A group of us gals went out for dinner (not a smoker in the bunch) and decided to buy a pack for kicks. I had 3 that night. The first thing I did was buy a pack the next morning. I was smoking at least 2 packs a day until a week ago. DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! I WILL NEVER SMOKE AGAIN... NOT EVEN ONE PUFF! Marian 6 days, 7 hours 251 death sticks not smoked Saved $84.86 already (cigarettes here are $67/carton)

It must depend on their state of mind, or how they choose to look at it :quest:. Interesting question thanks for sharing. My view is that the second you take one puff your quit meter goes back to zero and you have to go through it all again DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT! Zookie, Hey girl!!! Welcome back! Don't feel like a cad! That's what this site is for!!! I'm so glad that you're still smoke free, but I'm sorry you've been having some late-quit cravings lately. Do you remember Ros? She wrote 2 really really good posts in the General Forum about this exact issue. I bumped them the other day, so they might still be on the front page, but if they're not, I'll bump them again for you. It seems as though a log of people with really long quits like yours have been going through this lately... you're not alone. Anyway, I'm glad to see you're still smoke free! You know that these thoughts will pass eventually. Don't you dare hurt that quit of yours, OK? It's awesome! :) Crave the Quit! Gonna, Your friend was very fortunate! Many who smoke, even after such a long period as 2 years, aren't as lucky. No, I don't suggest trying this method in order to be "cured" of the desire to smoke. Nicotine is a drug and once in your system, it makes you desire more and more and more. Again, your friend was extremely fortunate... others aren't. I wouldn't take that chance. Crave the Quit! Gonna I know you can do this, I you need the help of Welbutrin at the moment take it by all means, go back to your Doc if need be. I know (wish I could underline) how you feel, when going down on the patch it's almost like starting over, everything gets on your nerves, try to concentrate on other things when this happens, like leaving the room this morning because of the cereal LOL. It's a battle alright keep working at it day by day, hour by hour if need be and you'll get there in the end, just make the decision, N.O.P.E. not matter what, and stick with it no matter what it takes. Sending you positive vibes Sincerely Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 113 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,709 Amount Saved: $452 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 0 Mins: 47 Seconds: 23

Zookie Hi, I think there's something to inhaling secondhand smoke for us nicotine addicts, I've noticed that when I'm around it, the next day ,I experience a bit of withdrawal, so I stay away from it. So on with the quit, glad you came back to share. :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 110 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,664 Amount Saved: $440 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 15 Mins: 7 Seconds: 11
