I am in Southern California possibly the capital of quitsmokingdom. Entire cities are non smoking. In some cases people cannot smoke in their own homes, or outside either. There is no smoking at the beaches or in the parks. There was a problem with enforcing all the non smoking laws so judges are giving non smokers the right to sue smokers individually. Oh it's quite a circus. If the wrong person sees you light up in the wrong place, you can be followed to your home or workplace and served with a lawsuit for public nuisance. Every time I'd hear about one of these new laws, and they come alone every day, I'd get mad and have a half dozen cigarettes just to show THEM. HA they can't tell me what to do. Dear Non- Smoking Buddies, Loved this post, it's so nice to see that no matter where we come from, our goal is the same...to stay smoke free and help each other along. I am on Day 17 here in sunny (east coast) south Florida. It is about 92 degrees at 5 PM. I guess you can see we haven't started the Fall season yet, sometimes we don't at all. The only thing I worry about is keeping my quit during a hurricane! We call this area hurricane alley because we were directly hit 2 years ago, 3 weeks apart... by two Category 3 storms.....Frances and Jeannne. It's been a quiet season so far but we have 2 months to get through still. Hopefully, it will stay that way. Best wishes to all. Jan58 smoke free in Brampton, Ontario, just northwest of Toronto. Smokers here have really no where to smoke anymore. Restaurants, pubs, outside doorways, bingo halls. Its getting that it doesn't pay to smoke anymore. And the price? Outrageous. Keep that quit going.
