One step at a time people. Be good to yourselves and dont beat yourselves up. Its not allowed. Having the courage to be on this site and even attempt to quit smoking is so much farther along than many smokers ever make it in a lifetime. As I say over and over againDont give up on yourself. You CAN do this and we will help.

It's better to be a non-smoker with an occasional desire for a cig than a smoker with a constant desire to quit......

I have seen some disturbing posts lately. I want to say to each and every one here that there are no Losers Here! We are quitters not losers!
Quitting is hard and it is emotionally draining. Anyone who has ever attempted to quit knows this whether they were successful in quitting or not. When I first came to the SSC I thought I was a loser too. Through the quit process I learned that I am not a loser. I am strong and capable of doing anything I set my mind to do. Guess what? So are you! Yes YOU!
If you struggle with your quit, so what! We have all struggled with quits. If you smoke after 30 days that doesnt make you a loser, it makes your meter say day one again. If you reach out to others for help and still give in to the addiction; that means that you need to reach out to at least one more person next time. If your spouse leaves smokes lying around and you pick one up and light it up that doesnt mean you cant quit, it means you need more practice at resisting temptation.
We are quitters and we are winning this war against the addiction one step at a time. Every five minutes we are successful with this quit we are winning. N.O.P.E. is how every single one of us quit smoking. Not One Puff Ever.
One step at a time people. Be good to yourselves and dont beat yourselves up. Its not allowed. Having the courage to be on this site and even attempt to quit smoking is so much farther along than many smokers ever make it in a lifetime. As I say over and over againDont give up on yourself.
