Hi Kate,
Sorry to hear about Buddy. They are our best friends and family and to lose them does break our heart, smile at all the memories.
I was into the 2nd week of my quit, and my Grandmother passed away. I live in Australia, and she was in the UK...I had the phone call in the middle of the night, the first thought was to have a cigarette, and yes I could of used this as my excuse to light up again, (people would of understood, and not questioned it)...but I am so glad I didn't give it to the demon in my head. My affirmation has and will always be "my life will not be controlled by something that doesn't even have and IQ" ! Kate, when you are ready, you will quit again, this is just a detour :) All the best to you. Jules.
