Hey Fish.... (great to see you around again) I experience what you were talking about when it is reward time. Getting down and depressed, time to do something positive to reinforce that postive life style I live now. Rewards great and small are very important and shouldn't be skipped. I know I posted a long time ago about my reward for graduating from College and for Quitting smoking for one year is a 6 day cruise without kids.... *my cruise is 9 weeks from yesterday! Countdown time! But when I reached one year I needed to do something then so I went and spent 4 days in the Smokey Mountains. I must admit, I had the best time there. Great company and good fun! Rewards are important. They are what we get for doing well. Everyday we are quit is a great day! I say, whatever you want, if you can get it, you deserve it! I know of the ipod that fish wants. It not only plays music, has lots and lots of memory to hold alot of songs, It also can play movies, tv shows, save photos, etc. It is very cool. I would love to have one also. I say 200 days smoke free is worth that wonderful reward! You've saved $1000..go for it! Maybe I'll follow when I hit 200 days. Fish, why are you worrying about $300? With what you haven't spent by not smoking you could buy 3 of those Ipods. Do not make any concessions and buy the cheaper one. You'll have this Ipod for a long time and I expect you'll use it often. Don't scrimp now, you will regret it later. And you are worth every penny. Get the Ipod, Fish. Let it remind you of your triumph every time you use it. :) Shevie My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/23/2005 Smoke-Free Days: 415 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,303 Amount Saved: $1577 Life Gained: Days: 77 Hrs: 9 Mins: 22 Seconds: 23

Hi Fish! I vote for getting the Ipod AND the dog. Our 16 year old Springer died last summer, and we promised my daughter wed get a dog this summer. Our new chocolate lab should be ready to come home in about 13 weeks. My son and husband gave me a trip to Paris (to visit the Louvre and Giverny Im an artist/art teacher) for Christmas. My son and I will be leaving the first week in August. Im using that for my 1 year reward. And, I got a new car yesterday. Now, our 4Runner was 11 years old and we needed a new car, so would have traded this summer anyway. Im still using it as a reward. Everything I buy for myself or my family, I say, Ive saved this money by not smoking, and thats why I can afford to buy this. I use time the same way. I have the time to take a nap or go for a bike ride or goof off reading magazines in the library because Im NOT using the time to sit around and smoke. The biggest reward? Not slowly killing ourselves anymore. :) Not cravin', never cavin'. fish, I have an MP3 player that I bought for one of my rewards for under $100. It works great! I don't think you have to spend $300. On the other hand, what is a reward but something really special that you wouldn't ordinarily buy yourself? I say if you've got it, spend it! You certainly deserve it!!!
