Powerful post, BF. So 100% true, too.
I remember an earlier post of yours, where you were beginning to question just how real your "friends" were. You are experiencing your own awakening and that is a wonderous thing. It will be frustrating at times, heartbreaking at others, but know that it is always for the good.
"I can see clearly now, the smoke is gone." LOL, perhaps someone with more poetic imagination can finish that.
One of the best parts of watching people progress in their quits is seeing the postive changes they go through. Oh, sure, the changes are painful, confusing, and frightening for them at first, but just watching them grow, finding their new selves, is a fabulous thing to behold. Hopefully this doesn't sound condecending or belittling to anyone, it isn't meant to be, but I think it must be a lot like a parent watching a child growing, discovering and learning the world around.
Well, by the SSC clock, you are now into your 50th day. Hop on the cruise ship for your journey to the beach. Relax on deck and let the shiphands cater to your every whim. You've paid for your ticket in style. :)
