I don't get on here as much as I used to but I will never forget the help and support I recieved on here from my wonderful friends. Congratulations to all the new quitters, keep it up, it is WORTH it!!!! It is a long battle but one that is so rewarding!! The 2 paragraphs here are from my Hall of Fame story............ One day in February 2005 Wendy was visiting a close friend, Wilma, who had had breast cancer and a mastectomy. Wilma had tried to quit smoking and just couldn�t stay quit. She gave Wendy an extra box of patches that her doctor had recommended (Wilma found that this particular brand of patches made her jittery). Wendy took them home and put them away thinking that she�d look at them later. Finally, one day in April Wendy opened the box and started reading the directions. Sadly, Wendy�s friend Wilma (who gave her the patches) passed away on October 18, 2005. �Wilma is forever in my heart and I�ll stay quit for her as well as for me. She fought a long hard battle with cancer and died at a tender young age of 66. Whenever I went to visit her she always asked if I was still not smoking. When I answered yes, she�d smile her wonderful smile. Tomorrow is the 1 year anniversary of my wonderful friends passing......... If there's someone you can talk to, Someone you can't replace; If there's someone you can laugh with Till tears run down your face; If there's someone you can call on When you need a helping hand; If there's someone you can count on To advise and understand; If there's someone you think more of As years come to their end; Count your blessings and be grateful For you've found a special friend.
