Hi Dutch, this is terrible.
I would get a new job if that was the case with me. I absolutely cannot deal with the smell at all!

I tend to agree, as ex-smokers we are probably the worst for complaining of stale cigarette smoke.
Is there a window near the office ? leave it open to circulate some fresh air or perhaps get a portable fan & blow the smell out the door / window.
The best solution would be to sweet talk management into providing a covered / sheltered area for smokers.
Good luck !

Hi Fini :)
Maybe they could go outside and smoke near the gas pumps??? :p
On second thought, that's not a good idea ;)
I understand how you feel though and I'm sure they would too if you talked to them about it.
Perhaps, they might have an idea?
I find people tend to cooperate best when something is 'their' idea.
Good luck and in the meantime you might purchase some air freshner?
Keep up your terrific quit and outlook on life!

these co-workers may have the "right" to smoke....but they don't have that right where you as a non-smoker have to work? Request an air cleaner from the bosses.....you can say you don't know where the smell is coming from, but it's horrendous and you would like to see something done about it. You aren't 'accusing' anyone, but you have a ligitimate work area complaint. I can't believe they would frequent the place and not know that smoking was going on. If you don't smoke, you can smell it a mile away!
as smoker, I would never have treated a nonsmoker or a quitter in this manner. It's just plain mean spirited when the no smoking rule is already in place. Stick up for yourself.....no one else will. :)
