Hi mate STOP THIS NEGATIVITY!! I am at day 35 and have had no significant coughing or clear out but take a deep breath and feel the cool air going down you WILL appreciate the difference Road Rage HUH? I have honestly felt unsafe to drive at times during this journey to hell and back but I think it is getting better(well a bit)on the positive side the car smells wonderful and the ashtrays are clean. If your boyfriend leaves you he doesnt understand or deserve you! Try looking at it my way. I have been through so many bad days over the past 5 weeks that I will NEVER do this again.I am getting less bad times day by day. So I cant quit again so I will carry on quitting. Good days bad days so what? Remember the good old smelly smokey days do you look back on those with pleasure? I think not!!! Take a look at a dirty ashtray that should convince you. You have avoided over 6 cartons of cigarettes and saved 244 dollars Dont throw it all away. I am normally the clown around here but you have worried me. JUST REMEMBER YOU ARE WORTH IT! Please put my mind at rest with a postive post Phil xxx My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/9/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 663 Amount Saved: 140.25 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 20 Mins: 22 Seconds: 56

Although this week his head may roll. He is home from work, and he smokes. So if I can stay nice for the whole week will be a mirical. :eg: Anyway good luck to you. Oh yeah you are worth it, you are beautiful, and made out of love. The rest of the world will always be concerned about #1. Which is themselves. So take all the time you need to take care of your #1.YOU. JLH Please don't feel like you are complaining. You are going through major changes and it takes time to heal. My God, you are only at day 62. It takes time, you know. So lighten up on yourself and vent. This is part of the healing process, ok! You'll get better andyou have done very well.

jlh, Glad to hear you're feeling better. Don't worry about "the brown crud." Some people seem to need to get rid of it and cough their heads off, others, like me, haven't had so much as an urge. Whatever happens to you will happen. Que sera, sera! Jlh Hi, this is what this site is for, come complain anytime you want. Maybe there is something else at the root of the problem. Sometimes we blame things on the quit but.... Have you talked to your MD.? Just a thought :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 91 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,377 Amount Saved: $364 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 2 Mins: 33 Seconds: 30

jlh53179, Hi and welcome, oh yeah the dreaded blues, I quit on the patch and everytime I went down on it, I went through this depression, crying for hours uncontrollably, picking fights with hubby. I stayed away from the phone in fear of yelling to whoever was calling. So this is all behing me except for occasional blues that I can handle, this is all part of the quit, we have to get those dopamine levels up again, so reward yourself, take time for yourself, little rewards daily, weekly and a bigger reward monthly, this is very important, you must protect your quit at all times. Congratulations on your statistics great job. One day at a time :)Marie My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 90 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,351 Amount Saved: $360 Life Gained: Days: 11 Hrs: 21 Mins: 0 Seconds: 41

You are in a precarious time of your quit. Always be on guard! I stopped for about 70-75 days recently and never did have what they refer to as 'brown crud'-thank goodness-sounds rather gross! At about the same time as you have now I felt awfully depressed and slept alot. I felt some of the anger you describe, but not that intense. Little things people did seemed to irritate me, like, breathing! :8o: Perhaps, if it continues, you can talk to your Dr. about medication. Wellbutrin has kept me from a homocide or two! Wishing you luck and sending lots of hugs and prayers your way! JLH- I'm glad that you are feeling better - but Wow! What a great trip to the gym! You are doing this quit! There are many times along the way that I have felt out of control, my anger has gotten the best of me, my husband has been not so nice about my quit...I just try to relax, do some breathing excercises - my favorite is going into a darkened room (but not totally dark) and lie down on the floor, and start some deep breathing...breathing from my stomach and through my chest and holding it for 5 seconds... and blowing it out through my mouth and after doing that about 5 times I start to relax my toes, my feet, my ankles, my shins and work my way up through my body - still breathing deeply and relaxing my body until I get to the top of my head - don't forget your eyes and that space between your eyes (I call it the third eye) and your ears - all the places we forget about. Then I just kinda try to melt into the floor. A little calming music would be nice but not necessary! Try to stay there in that relaxed state for about 10-15 minutes. I guarantee you this has saved my marriage. Hope this helps...it always seems to help me!! Oh and by the way - we are here for you to complain to - never feel like you can't come here and complain!~ Island Girl My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/21/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 205 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,057 Amount Saved: $410 Life Gained: Days: 24 Hrs: 0 Mins: 7 Seconds: 49
