Pen,
I think to YOU it might seem like the same old thing that's been said 1,000 times, but to new quitters, it might be the first time they've seen those words. Just like Mr. Ed said, there's only so much we can say in regards to quitting smoking. And if you stick around this site long enough, you will see the same questions being asked, the same answers being given and the same conflicts of opinions on certain topics. Not too many new things to say... but to some, it might not be the same old thing.
I DO try to bump old posts as often as needed, but I also don't bump posts just to bump posts... I only bump them when I see that somebody has a question regarding something and I feel that an old posts says it best. I find that bumping posts just to bump them may bump DOWN somebody's cry for help that could have gotten more response had it stayed on the first page. More often, I will just link old posts to the post at hand, so the person who is having a difficult time doesn't have to run around trying to find the post that was bumped.
But I definitely agree that there are some great gems out there that can be of a lot of help to a lot of people, and many of us DO try to bring those to the front as often as needed. Thanks for the reminder that there's a lot of good stuff back there if you want to find it.
Crave the Quit!
Pam
