I'm in a panic. I real one I think. All night long I kept waking up feeling all out of sorts... like I couldn't breathe or something. I spent the weekend at a non-smoking relatives house and that went fine, but when I came home and looked around at all I have to do, I just felt sooooo depressed. I'm in the middle of a huge rehab. I have no kitchen and crap is everywhere. The mess and lack of smoking just seems like too much. Everywhere I look I see tools and pieces of lumber. I can't settle myself down.
I just took a tylenol 4 that was left over from some past injury. I feel like I need to relax and I can't.
I need someone wiser and stronger to talk to me for just a second!
Thanks!
I needed to be reminded of what to do. Smoking will only take me further from what I really want.
I'm going to take a hot shower and breathe.
Again, thanks for letting me get it out!
I'm doing my quit secretly. I want to give my daughter a card at Christmas with my quit stats. I'll think of that as I pull myself back together! LOL!

Light,
Congrats on making it through that, your doing great and half way through hell week. I think the idea of giving your daughter a card at Christmas with your quitting stats is a fantastic idea. Your strong enough to do this, just believe in yourself. You are stronger than the addiction, and the SSC can help you through your moments. They were really there for me. Keep reading and posting and let us know how your doing.

I admire you, Light. I was too weak a person to quit While I built this kitchen. It will be nice to have a fresh kitchen without smokey film on it......well at least not from cigs ;p
You are doing great...keep it up

Light,
Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking! You've gotten some great advice in the posts above. Read and take heed. And remember we're all here because we're nicotine addicts in one stage of recovery or another.

Light,
How are you doing now? Glad you made it through that rough spot. Sometimes, learning to relax and take breaks WITHOUT smoking is the hardest part of quitting. When you get in a panic situation like that, do the best you can to calm yourself down and think "smoking will NOT help this situation." Because it won't! That was a big, fat lie that our inner junkie selves taught us. You do NOT need cigarettes. Hope you're doing better now. Check in and let us all know how you are doing. Congrats on 4 days!
Crave the Quit!
Pam
