Auntdeb, Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are so happy to hear you've had such great success with the help of Chantix. Just a gentle reminder that everyone has to find which aid works best for them. Danielle ______________________ The SSC Support Team

thanks dutch and lady, I have had quite a few crying spells in the last 4 days. I don't want to go anywhere when I get off of work. I feel sad, uncomfortable, depressed, tense, restless. I have had so many thougts of "whAT?? IS THIS HOW I AM GOING TO FEEL" I know it is worth it to quit smoking, to be free. I just need to feel better..this has gone on too long with me. I am frustrated. I was at the drug store tonight picking up a prescripton. the nicotine lozenges were on sale for a really good price..I just walked on by..no price is good enough. But, gosh, I need to feel better. Life sucks at this point. Hi Aunt Deb, I really don't quit understand your advice. I have been quit smoking for awhile now; my quit date is in the past. I just came off the NRT, the lozenges. I am doing fine... a little uncomfortable still, a little restless, but I will not smoke. Congratulations on your first month smoke free. You are doing great. Glad the chantix is so helpful to you. I'm done with quit smoking aids, though. I am taking it one day at a time, staying smoke free. thanks all, Penquin, you are so right. At this point it is a daily mental decision NOT to bum one, sneak one, have just one puff or just one cig; a daily decision not to smoke; period. This is my second full day with no NRT. I went to sleep tonight and woke up after two hours and could not fall back to sleep. This is one of the most irritating withdrawal symptons. You don't want to feel the uncomfortableness and sleep is a temporary "out"; then you can't fricking sleep..sucks. Here's to a better tomorrow. yipee--smoke free! Hi no more cig, Sounds like you are not OVER using the nrt..one cartridge a week and NO lozenges. I was using nrt for way tooooo long. I think that there is a difference. You did not show your quit meter, so I don't know how many days you have been quit. If I had lozenges in my purse, I would use them. I have made the break and my body is nicotine free, the rest is mental. yipee--smoke free!
