Great blessing Rainie. Sounds like you are not only ready but looking forward to the big day! How's the Chantix affecting you? BTW, I think I blew this weekend thing out of proportion. Wasn't too bad, but I was prepared. Rainie, I'm going to be away next weekend but so there for you in my prayers! Start another thread for you and other 1st weekenders. How is the Chantix affecting smoking now that it's been 4 days? Notice anything? Vivid dreams is a side effect that no one escapes I think. I've had dreams of losing teeth before but my God I lost the whole freaking side of my mouth last night. Had to check it when I woke up. They are really so vivid that they almost always require a reality check. It's worth it though. Once you quit and start reading posts of others' coping and craving problems you will realize that you have a true advantage with Chantix. Rainie, I will be thinking of you and hoping you post your progress this week as you begin your quit! You will squash this thing quickly and you are ready for this. The old nicodemon should just run away screaming and let you really enjoy your week and your weekend. Should you need anything, just give a shout and you know someone will be right here to help. Please forgive me in advance if I am or am not jumping all over your posts as I will be gearing up for my first day as a non smoker on Sunday. LOL, see you in the no-smoking section!!!! This is sort of funny. So many of us were closet smokers and here you are - a closet quitter! How'd it go this weekend? I picture you in gray sweats with chocolate all over your fingers and cheeks. Well, as some of you know I am starting my quit while my non smoking hubby is on a ski weekend with his buddies. And my quit is a suprise for my family (all nonsmokers). The only thing is, is that my 18 year old daughter was so psyched for a Mother/Daughter weekend with movies & munchies...etc... I just REALLY wanted to alone to comfort myself if need be and cradle my quit. Low and behold the call came today...Mom, I know we were going to hang out but gosh Mom this really cool thing came up and I really want to go. "You know one of those once in a life time things"? Aww alright if you really want to go I understand and I know you will have a good time. WOO HOO I can do what I want!!!! I can read, eat chocolate, cry, paint, crochet, eat chocolate, soak in the tub, walk the dog, eat chocolate, post on SSC, call a friend, sleep, and oh, did I mention eat chocolate????? I actually lost 11 lbs before I started this process so If I gain...oh well!
