I have a question...is it possible to become addicted to chocolate? Stop laughing, I mean really addicted to it? It seems to be the only thing that can really get me through my craves. I've tried the licorice, straws, toothpiks, life savers, and anything that was in a nice "have one" bowl on somebody's desk, but only chocolate helps. You know, oreo cookies, choco. chip cookies, reese's peanut butter cups, the heart shaped box of valentine's chocolates (the whole box), the Hershey bars that you are supposed to be selling for the kids, chocolate muffins from the cafeteria, tastykakes from the machine (now we'll see who knows what tastykakes are)....and that was just today! LOL I even found some kisses left over from Christmas and ate them too. Pretty soon I will have another reason not to smoke, because my arm won't be long enough to reach my mouth! Will I eventually have had enough and not want any more? (I cant believe I actually asked that question). It has nothing to do with the time of the month....I am way past that. When I crave...GIVE ME CHOCOLATE...or get outta my way! Other than that, all is well, all bodily functions are working normally. Same appetite (you would think I wouldn't eat anything but chocolate, huh?) I am drinking more than usual.......not alcohol, and more water than usual. Maybe I am just insane. Hi Fellow Cruisers! Happy Birthday again, Faith! Hope you are improving by the minute! Hope everyone is feeling better...when you hurt, I hurt too. It's so much nicer when everyone is up and running around, drinking wine, fishing, snorkeling, eating chocolate, playing harmonica, dancing, changing bikinis, shopping, etc. etc. etc. LIFE IS GOOD here on the way to Quit, but better when we are all enjoying ourselves. I also had a short wave of nausea this morning, nothing major, it just made me sit down for a minute or two. The last few laps of the race were very exciting, especially the very last lap. Was hoping to see MM win one, but he got a very close second. I made it through my first entire weekend without smoking. I was dreading 2 days at home where most of my triggers are, but with the help of all of you, I didn't smoke. In fact, last night I took the stash from my car and tore them up, saying goodbye forever. Plus, H*ll week is almost over! It seems like I have been quitting forever already, and I am just waiting for it to feel "real". To Faith and all my friends, Tonight I get it. I have to take one day at a time. I am empowered (and exhausted from chasing all those Nascar Boys, especially MW in the #55 Toyota. Good morning everyone, welcome to Tuesday! I have question...it seems that the times I want a smoke most are always mid-morning, mid-afternoon, and mid-evening. (I'm just a mid-kind of gal). It seems to be pretty consistent at these times each day. Is this common? I kind of expected to get the craves at various times throughout the day. I really thought giving up the first one in the morning would be the toughest, but it wasn't really. Are my craves supposed to be "scheduled"? Speaking of schedules, when are we expected to arrive at wherever we are headed...Martinique, Barbados,...wherever? I love being on the water, but I do need a smidge of gas for the helicopter...just getting ready for the weekend... the upcoming race is in CA, we would need to refuel along the way...
