tryagain,
For as educated as you say you are (doctorate) you have a lot to learn about life. Book smarts and common sense are mutually exclusive terms and you are the poster child for that message.
You are an addict in the worst sense of the word. The handwriting is on the wall and you refuse to read it. I mean REFUSE to read it. I am amazed at how you have justifed smoking. Your husband is a "dead man walking" and you can't see it. I read your first post here and I just shook my head in amazement.
You can't breathe and your husband can't breathe and you're still taking about various techniques that the tobacco companies use to keep smokers hooked like it's front page news! Maybe it is a revelation for you! Now you "have" to quit! Wow! That's a shock! Here are smokers with one foot in the grave and they realize now that they "have" to quit!
This is the essence of the addiction!! So many people smoke, blinded by their addiction, that they don't realize that a cigarettes may purpose is TO KILL THE SMOKER!! Now that you have this wonderous informaton, quit and NEVER LOOK BACK!!
Pardon the sarcasm. I know I was a bit rough, but your post just stuck a nerve. I wish you and your husband all the best and hope that some of your health returns.
