Needtolive,
Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on quitting!
Start working the program tools on the left of your screen. Also be sure to take a tour of our forums and read a few posts.
Start placing yourself mentally in the situation now. What would you do if you came across a TDD? Have a plan! It's much easier to take the alternative that's already in place than to come up with one while your in a situation that places you at high risk for a slip.
Start thinking of a reward system. Select rewards you value and are willing towards yourself and give them to yourself for staying smoke free. These rewards will help motivate you and build up your confidence level.
Congratulations on day 2!
Keep us posted and thanks for sharing your story.
Danielle

Hi N2L,
Nice2know U :)
Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on your successful surgery and decision to quit smoking. Your writing style is unique and really drawed me in. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope you'll stick around. If you will, I do believe you can keep this quit going. Quitting smoking never killed anyone. It's actually a pretty amazing experience once you get on the other side of it. Some of us were talking early about how much fun we had when we first quit! Doesn't that sound impossible?!? ;) Nevertheless, you'll experience exactly what I'm describing IF you will stay quit long enough. Push through the bad days until you get to the other side. It comes when you least expect it. Do this not just for life, but for a better quality of life.

Needtolive,
What a unique name to choose! But one that I am glad to hear. So many in your steps would choose to just give in. You have the determination to fight and get past this relationship. When you feel that falter, just come in here and read and post until it passes. One day, one minute at a time will eventually get you there.
Cheryl
