By the way when I said my quit is now today, I was talking about what my aunt said. As for me, my quit remains strong and smoke free. Her quit started that day. One of the reasons I have not been around was this phone call from my aunt. I had called her when I made 17 days smoke free and she called me about a week ago. My uncle her husband of 40 years has lung CA. She called to tell me this and to tell me she was having her last cig as we spoke. It was a real blow and I was not ready to share it yet. The blow did not make me want to smoke, it just made me so very sad that cigarettes have done this to him. He has quit for a few years after bypass surgery and nasty COPD(emphysema). My quit is now today. My Aunt is an excellent lady. I told her about this site, and some of the little mantra's I have learned here that have helped me stay quit. One of my favorites is I would rather be an ex smoker with an occasional crave then a smoker craving to quit. Hold tight to your quit no matter what. The destruction on the other side is not worth it, it's not worth feeding an addiction.. May we live long happy healthy and quit lives. Next time I get a crave, I am going to ask myself if the crave is worse then what Chemotherapy must be like. Stay quit. Choose life. Please please please may your family not face the sadness mine is about to face. As for my internet not savy aunt. I am still going to try and get her here. One day at a time right. Thank you for listening to me My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 32 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 651 Amount Saved: $160 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 2 Mins: 7 Seconds: 23

Thanks to all of you for your support . It touches me deeply to be here and there are many times for many days I can't be, but know I am still here, and I am so focused, and yes it's hard, but yes, yes, it can be done. What is the alternative any way? To be swallowed by the addiction??? No matter what a persons addiction, I would not wish any of the struggle to break free or be consumed on any one. Yet it really is that simple isn't it. Break free or be consumed. Thanks again. Holding all your virtual hands and taking deep breaths. Much Aloha Nalu NO RAIN NO RAINBOWS My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/5/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 33 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 660 Amount Saved: $165 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 3 Mins: 12 Seconds: 3
