Jan,I certianly understand your frustration. But, remeber Zyban is not the magic pill. It will help, but the desire to quit must be the main focus. You and I have been around for a while now. You know my history. Not sure, but cetianly feel this is my final quit. Why? I don't know, it just feel right.
I have tried almost everything out there. What has worked this time is the the book and cold turkey. The withdrawals have been almost nothing. Not saying they were not there, I was aware of what was going on. I am not an expert, but this seem much better. For me the others were just a crutch. For me I thought I needed that other stuff so I could quit. The patches, zyban, smoke away, natural stuff from the health stores, they worked for a while. But I was not ready. I had to pratice :p
Go to the doctor again and talk to him. Did you tell him about this site and what you were doing to get prepared? I know you want this quit and you have kept in touch and your plan to quit after the holidays is a good one. You will have that stress behind you.
Hope your day goes better, my friend. Sorry this is so long
