I am almost afraid to post for fear of slipping again. I am finding it much easier just to come here and read. Yes, I post as far as a response to someone. So that being said, I would like to wish everyone a Wonderful New Year !!!!
This quit has been enjoyable. Yes, I said enjoyable. Maybe I have had enough quits that I know what is happening to my mind, body and soul. I am doing this cold turkey after rereading Mr. Carrs book. With my other quits I used the lot of aids Zyban, patches, gum, smoke away and other herbal stuff. I used all of those as a crutch, for me. I know they have done wonderful things for others and I am so glad. For me they did not work for any length of time.
Right now I know the nicotine is out of my system. Now it is getting my thoughts going in the right direction. When one has let the cigarette control ones life for more than 50 years it is going to take some time.
I wake up feeling so good. What makes me feel even better is that I have not had to come here and tell you that I have smoked. Yeah, that is worth a million right there in a nutshell. Going to bed at night knowing I have made it another day. Yeah sooooo nice.
I have contact with some of you on a regular bases and that helps more than I can tell you. Each and every one of you at this site has helped me in one-way or another. The new ones Welcome, and the mature ones Thank you.
Sharon
