Hi dcheryl,
i realy dont think you should be meeting someone you met on line by yourself you are already worried about it please if you decide to go take a friend or someone with you.
Take Care. :)
I met someone online that I have been talking to on the phone for 2-3 weeks. He seems to be really great and when I started panicing again a little over a week ago, I told him about my problem and that I didn't want to waste his time. He surprised me by saying "You take the good with the bad in any relationship." and he's been really supportive.
Well tonight we are suppose to meet. He lives about 35 miles from here and has agreed to drive over this way to meet me. We are planning on meeting at Appleby's which is only about 3 miles from here. Problem is, I'm very anxious today. I just tried to go to the grocery store, made it to the first light, then u-turned and came back home. When I got back I took Sid (my dog) for a walk and we fed the ducks at the pond. Came back in and that feeling of dread started creeping up on me. I tried to call my new friend to cancel tonight, but he's not home.
Anyone got any suggestions on what I should do? How do I handle this? I know staying home is only going to make it worse. I actually felt better while I was walking Sid (its a beautiful day outside today). But if I can't make it 2 miles up the road to the grocery store...how am I going to make it 3 to go to dinner tonight? And what if I panic once I meet him?
