So you smoked. Looks like you are ready to begin. You reset your meter and so the journey begins. I have been where you have been. I smoked, I reset my meter, and I came here and got all the support I wanted. I think your cry for help, was your justification to smoke. You didn't wait until you had a response. Those actions are what I do when I become child like. I want what I want and I want it now additude. There is no shame in starting over. There are several of us that needed that one cig to make it clear that we wanted to quit. So jump back in with your new quit date and join us for the new year. Hope to see you posting soon. Let us know how you are doing. (((HUGS))) HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I am so glad to see you back today. You say I am tough, thank you :). Sometimes we don't like to hear the truth, but in the long run it may save your life. If it were not for some of these lovely people here getting tough with me, I would still be smoking or trying to get away with it. Good luck on quitting drinking. That also can be done. Next month I will have 30 years on continous sobriety. There are a lot o programs out there that can and will help you if you reach out. Be proud and walk tall ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/11/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 19 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 195 Amount Saved: $57 Life Gained: Days: 2 Hrs: 14 Mins: 36 Seconds: 2

so, imallclear, if you bought that pack, did it solve anything? Please reconsider and dont do it. It will not make your hurts or craves go away. You will have to start all over and have hell and heck week over agian. Do you remember those days? Hell week I sure do. The dizzies, craves, sweats, etc and I would never do that again. Please dont!!! Imallclear please don't throw away 40 days. Sorry we didn't get to you sooner. Hang in there. Smoking will only make you feel worse. I can't wait until I'm at 40 days like you. I hope and pray you didn't go get the cig. Glad you found your sword. Time to win the war! I love to see a quitter that gets right back up and refuses to be defeated! One more thing. I have seen a lot of quitters do just what you did and then go on to have successful long term quits. So, it can be done. Prove it to yourself! imallclear, You have a battle wound. You have not lost this war. This is a fight for your life and you are worth it. Now you have learned a lesson. The cigarette did nothing for you. Time to pick yourself up and move forward. You will receive all kinds of posts with different views of why you did what you did. It doesn't really matter. It is over and there is no going back to change it. At any time, you have the option of choosing to move forward. You may want to exercise that option. Lesson learned. The times that I am alone or feel like I'm all alone are always the hardest for me. Especially in those early days. Early in my quit, the boys would go away every other weekend and I would be here on the site, crying, in a pity pot, thinking that no one cared about me and extremely lonely. I made friends here that helped me through those tough times. Those same people still help me through the tough days I have now. They are just tough for different reasons than smoking. I must correct you on one thing. Yes, you are suppose to post before you smoke. The way it works is... you wait for 10 responses before you act on going to buy smokes. Not one view and no reply so you are off the hook. WRONG ANSWER. We are all addicts and each time you smoke you are putting nicotine back into your system giving your junkie brain the ok to do it again. Refuse to give in to the addiction ever again. You are strong and you can do it. You had 40 days on your meter and you worked for each and every one of them. Each of those days represent the strength you posses inside. Do this for you. Smoking kills. and it wasn't me that viewed but didn't respond....and that is not a ligit excuse to buy cigarettes anyway! it was probably some new quitter who didn't have a clue how to address what you were putting forth...... get up and get your armor back on.....fighting battles is just part of quitting.....giving in doesn't cut it. Me thinks you should do a bit of "considering" here. You are letting the junky take over your thinking and once that happens, he also takes over your actions....if you have the smokes and you are once again checking in here, well my advice is to crush them and run water over them. You have 40 days....excuse me, but smoking now is insane! and will I feel bad if I can't deter you from doing it??? not really....your smoking will only make YOU feel badly. Don't you see....you are giving in and letting your addiction call the shots once again. You are an ADDICT! You are going to have to fight these urges....going to the store for sickarettes should NOT be one of your options......instead your plan should be a walk, a run, a hot shower, a workout at the gym, a movie and a sinful snack, a pillow punching cursing episode.....but NOT a trip to by smokes! Why do I think a smoke, Right Now! Will placate me to my present situation ( that being comfortable and safe and what I asked for )? You think these things cause you are an ADDICT and you are letting the addiction do the thinking!!! Get back in control....destroy those damned smokes NOW Katy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/4/2002 Smoke-Free Days: 1820 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 72,832 Amount Saved: $10374 Life Gained: Days: 237 Hrs: 11 Mins: 57 Seconds: 12
