Why I can't have just one is because it's exactly like this Denise :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/31/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 2 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 76 Amount Saved: $10 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 7 Mins: 27 Seconds: 40

I just can't have one of anything... One would lead to many Terri My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/28/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 107 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,605 Amount Saved: $380.92 Life Gained: Days: 10 Hrs: 16 Mins: 48 Seconds: 35

I can't have just one because during my quit i've realized how bad it smells and how much I hate it when I go to a friends and come home and have to change my clothes or wash my coat because they smell so bad. Why would I want to make my friends and family go through that when they come here. I also can't have just one because like Lady it would never be enough. I also quit because of squamous cell changes in my cervix and I do not want that to progress to cancer! Why can't I have just one? Because I dont want one,I dont need one so there! Besides which there are a lot of ladies on this site who would head for Wokingham UK and beat me up and I am scared!(VERY scared!) I am loving these responses. I was cleaning and I thought of another reason why I can't have one. I am a little bit of a perfectionist, it is all or nothing with me. I want all of my life, all my health, and all my freedom. Now nothing smoking has to offer me. If I had one I would have to have them all. Yukyukyuk Grace

Just a thought for the new quiters on board. Smoking is not only a dirty habbit, it is a full flegded addiction. Did you ever want just one before. Just One will lead to the whole pack. There is something in our memory that takes us right back to full fledge addiction, just after one. Just like a acoholic can go right back to a sever state of insanity after just one drink. When you think of having just one instaed think of, The reasons you quit. Your bennifits. Your health The pain of quiting the first time. What you have overcome all ready. I am sure members on here can add more to that. I cannot have one because I love myself. I am also now a role model to my hubby and kids. Just one puff and I will have lost a awsome fight and feeling. This is a new year and a new life. Keep the fight for a healthy life... NOPE Not One Puff Ever Why can't You have one? Thank you Grace for starting this wonderful post. And as Lady has said "One is too many and a thousand will never be enough is just a perfect statement and great words to keep in mind when thinking about reaching to light up that smoke. As you Grace, Rusty and Free have said, don't give up giving up. No one wants to start the process over again. You guys can make it for you, your family and for your new extended SCC family.
