I know it is important in a quit to make a public statement to your friends and family to gain support and accountibility in your quit. Well, since I am a closet quitter here is my public proclimation!
I promise myself that I will turn a deaf ear and closed mind to ANY influence that may try to bend my resolve. I promise that I will do everything and anything it takes to never let nicotine invade my precious God given body again.
I will pray, breathe, post, use ALL of my tools. I will do all of these things with a positive attitude. I will accept feelings of cravings as they come because with each crave that is denied I am teaching my body how to respond to a new life and a new me.
Not only do I promise to care for, nuture, and cherish my quit but I will place it above all else for the rest of this journey.
To you - my quit family, to the world, and more importantly to myself, I promise this on the last day I will ever allow my body and my mind to be controlled by my addition to nicotine.
With love....
