Well it is gettin late and The Captain needs to depart for shore and leave you ladies to your evil ways ;p Happy Birthday again Faith, everyone enjoy the evening..I am sure you will, and don't forget poor Rainie's pictures...today was a good day for me - no urges, no cravings, guess I was too busy to notice. Didn't get my walk in today, but will make up for it tomorrow with a day off and a day at the golf course...The Captain grabs his Rum and starts to leave the boat singing one of his favorite Allman Brothers tunes: ONE WAY OUT Ain't but one way out baby, Lord I just can't go out the door. Ain't but one way out baby, and Lord I just can't go out the door. Cause there's a man down there, might be your man I don't know. Lord you got me trapped woman, up on the second floor; If I get by this time I won't be trapped no more. So raise our window baby, I can ease out soft and slow. And lord, your neighbors, no they won't be Talking that stuff that they don't know. Lord, I'm foolish to be here in the first place, I know some man gonna walk in and take my place. Ain't no way in the world, I'm going out that front door Cause there's a man down there, might be your man I don't know. Have fun Ladies...I must be off.....Mr.Magic :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 27 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 556 Amount Saved: $60.75 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 13 Mins: 30 Seconds: 58

Glad you are feeling better Rainie, and we are both about to hit that big 30 number, I can't believe it!! Great job, I won't let you down...well that musta been one hellava birthday party last night, hope all those that were under the weather a bit made it and you did indeed get pics for Rainie, The Captain doesn't care to see them .The Captain had a good time as well on shore, ask me no questions I 'll tell ya' no lies.(hey, isn't that a Lynard Skynard tune?).and it is 10:00am local time here on the island and hardly anyone up!! This place is so great I think we will spend a whole week cruising the coasts of Martinique, from Sainte-Anne, the southernmost village to Saint-Pierre,and sail near Diamond Rock and explore the many wonders the island has along the shores. So get the sun tan oil, the wine and chocolate for those that are still eating it, get the Nurse on-call, all this activity could be dangerous. Everyone have a wonderful day, I am off today and heading for the links....I must be off..Mr.Magic My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 568 Amount Saved: $63 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 16 Mins: 13 Seconds: 29

the Captain thanks Faith for the well written description of the new Magic Ship and the activities on board as well as the duties we all have. As she stated, all aboard that's coming aboard, we have room, and we are ALL positive towards our approach on the quit as we head fo the Land of Quit....thanks again Faith...well the week is finally over and the Captain had a very hard and intense afternoon to end it, but made it through some how and can still catch my breath...Yes, we are in Jamacia and will stay here through the weekend. I understand the 1st mate has been out shopping and I believe a visit to the salon. The Captain plans just to put on his favorite flowered baggy shorts and just hang around the boat this weekend and enjoy the views of the habor. I believe I saw NIDS swimming around earlier this morning, glad she is still with us...Thanks for all the support hitting that 3 week mark, the week went by so fast I didn't pay much attention, and of course our dear Rainie, whereever she is at this moment, has surpassed that mark and on to 4! Pat of course hits 3 on Sunday. JT has a special pastery I believe. The Captain will refrain from any further comments regarding a certain song, and gonnadoit, it wasn't me yelling out ;) All is well, life is indeed good, and let's all enjoy the bright sky, the clean clear air, and the wonderful ocean breezes. THE LAST POST IN THE CLOSED THREAD>>>> The Captain is up and at 'em this early Thursday morning, a big round of applause for both Rainie and let's not forget JT hitting that 31 day mark!! Doing fine here, busy day ahead but that's okay. Cravings and urges seem to be a thing of the past and I seem to be not snacking as much as a week or so ago, with the exception of Faith's fine chocolate. A couple of observations, of course the smell and taste have improved, but my windshield is STILL clean from when I cleaned it days ago, there are no ashes on the carpet of my truck, there are no ashes falling off and landing on my pants while I drive. Amazing how we never thought of such things days, weeks, months, ago before quitting. Since we tend to be music based on this ship, Rainie's comment about her squeezing in to jeans and sucking it in reminded me of that old Queen tune. Anyone know it? Jamacia s just great, a few more days here I think, we'll lose our NASCAR fans again this weekend, I have chartered a private jet (the Captain has people) to fly those nuts to Daytona and back. Have a great day, enjoy whatever it is you are doing today, stay strong, help those that need it. I must be off, The Captain, Mr. Magic My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 413 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 3 Mins: 14 Seconds: 57

So taking advantage, I thought I would check in...I would expect the same thing JT, you play with me, not carry for me, and I carry my own bag, I am sure we can find a nice place to tee it up here in Jamacia...I hope other see the last few posts iin te old thread so we keep the momentum going...Looking forward to haveing dineer with my Cincinnati counterpart tonight in the NON-SMOKING section ;) Everyone have a nnice evening....The Captain My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 20 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 413 Amount Saved: $45 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 3 Mins: 14 Seconds: 39

Congratulations to our 1st Mate - yes indeed you are correct Fat Bottom Girls - Queen oooh you gonna take me home tonight. oooh, down beside that red firelight; oooh you gonna let it all hang out. Fat bottomed girls, You make the rockin' world go round. But please let the Captain be understood that it was only Rainies posting that brought that song to mind as the Captain does admire the physical attributes of those female members of the ship and implies NOTHING by posting the lyrics above. He will admit to picking up an extra pound or two as well during this process, but always wears his baggy shorts anyway Hope everyone is now enjoying the new sail boat with the new galley, audio and visual systems, wine cooler and the excellent bar. Today is 3 weeks for me and it seems to be getting better. I had dinner with my co-worker last night, had 3 beers ate an excellent Salmon dish, and did not crave at all! I even debated taking the evening pill when I got home. I did, but I suspect once the 60 pill refill is gone, I will not refill it again and I would have done the required 12 weeks in the program. We'll see. Today wraps up a very busy week, counting the days until the final review on the 22nd. I hope everyone is staying STRONG..I must be off...The Captain :8|: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 21 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 426 Amount Saved: $47.25 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 6 Mins: 20 Seconds: 38

Enjoy the tropics while we can...The Captain has thought a lot about this, well alittle anyway, and we will continue SE to the island of Barbados with a stop in Martinique and St. Lucia. We will have to stock up on the wine, chocolate, and other staples before departing tomorrow...hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. No problem about Friday JT, and oh, I expect you to play golf, not just walk along :8|: I must be off.......The Captain My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 23 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 469 Amount Saved: $51.75 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 16 Mins: 46 Seconds: 8

good morning everyone, and welcome to out pilot how will be pleased to know The Captain was indeed a crew chief and mechanic in the Air Force, so it will be kept in tip top shape :8|: The Captain was out of touch yesterday, but from the looks of things, everyone is carrying on fine without him. Traveled south to a real life casino to pull a handle or two, and throw some dice. Big Test #22 - sit at a slot machine and NOT smoke- PASSED, Big Test #23- Throw dice, get on a roll, and NOT smoke - PASSED, Big Test #24 - try to keep from gagging with all the smokers around you no matter how good the venting system is= PASSED but barely. Everyone seems to be having a good time here on Jamacia, but we should think about moving on to another destination next week, The Captain has some places in mind, but just may throw a dart at the map :8|: I am sure our race fans will be down in the lounge all day, I am heading for the links. JT you ready? Everyone have a great day !! Faith, you are right, The Captain is a little confused today, I do apologize for the mistake, you and I play, JT walks along with us..and we all enjoy the sun. I am proud that you beat TWO addictions, I know one is hard, the other I never got close to be addicted to, I just turned and walk away. I do enjoy craps, and I let the table dictate how long I am going to play, learned to stay away from the suckers bets(the middle) and play the Pass Line, back it up and 6's and 8's. Usually play a longtime and walk a way with a few bucks..I think we both will be addicted to wine and chocolate, that's okay with me..Like you, we'll wait for the crazies to return..and I can imagine there WILL be details. MomMom, since The Captain doesn't share the same excitement over the twinkley eyed NASCAR drivers, we will pull out in the morning ;p Be Strong, Stay Strong...The Captain.

JT, The Captain won't comment on the itsy -bitsy not fitting, but will coment on the second point. Excellent idea, count The Captain in. Everyone, meet JT, ex-pastry chef who is now our ship's Director of Exercise. I think your walking idea is great. You know, The Captain has been walking daily(almost) as part of a company program. I won't bore you with the details of the entire program, but for the walking thing there are 3 or 4 "trails" you walk and the first is 5 miles in 5 days, then up to 26 miles in 3 weeks, and so on. It keeps track of your steps (you type it in) and tells you how many you need to walk the remainder of the program. light, moderate, or heavy pace, it is up to the person. I am on moderate which is fine. This has helped The Captain at least atttempt to maintain his weight during the quit. So I am in, I will post daily. Perhaps you could track miles/steps walked and pounds lost. The Captain knows better than to ask the start/end weight, just the pounds lost. MomMom - you got the right idea and congrats on the milestone. No, this is not the calm before the storm (yes I did check the weather, mid 80's, slight chance of showers , light east winds) at least for a Chantix user. I experienced the same thing, days went by, I kept saying ok, this is too easy (relatively) when am I going to go into uncontrolable shakes, and sweats, and temporary blindness from this quit? (if you go by some of the other posts in this message board) Ha, never came and each day goes by continues to get even easier. There will be moments, but they will get shorter and I mean by minutes and seconds, with time. Just keep doing what you are doing. The Captain has another fun packed day ahead and will try to check back in later on...On we go...Mr.Magic My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 25 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 503 Amount Saved: $56.25 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 0 Mins: 56 Seconds: 59
