Good for you! Now that you're back up and around, when is the next tea party? Have you been baking again? Something smells good! 5-1/2 MONTHS. WOW proud of ya galpal! Where would the money come from if you were still smoking? Just pretend that it's spent, and put it away for yourself. Now, if you really want to pack up and leave, then there is more going on than dipping, chewing and smoking. Ducki... You are so right. You are someone too! You also deserve your rewards. You don't smoke and have saved that money so your rewards should be honored. Communication is key. Try to explain to him that your rewards are important and how you feel. I'm not one to give advice on relationships. But I do believe you have to be respectful of each other's needs. That's just my opinion. Own your quit and don't you dare give it up for anyone! You should be very proud of yourself!!!! You have done an awesome job. First of all - I like your stats. 5 1/2 months smoke free is awesome, and you (yes you) should be very proud of yourself. This kind of thing is what has caused me to cave in the past - the fairness thing. What I never learned until now is that it has nothing to do with fairness, it has to do with Nicotine addiction. My hubby quit awhile back, and then started again when I quit. When I think about the 'fairness thing' I think about how great it is for ME (yes ME) to not be smoking. I am getting it all, he gets nothing. You are winning!!!! At my one month anny, my hubby took me out for dinner. Didn't say that was why he was taking me out. OK, I'll take the dinner, even if he couldn't say "good job honey." I had already told myself "GOOD JOB". We have to pat ourselves on the back. Don't expect anyone else to. Secretly, he is hoping you will go back to smoking, and maybe even making it very difficult for you to make the right choice. DON'T get caught up in his addiction. You need to find some way to reward yourself, and quick. It doesn't have to me monetary, just something that says (I've done a good job, and I am worth it). YOU ARE WORTH IT. This is all about you. I believe in you.
