I would say you DO need to get further away from people who make you feel like this.....and you also need to learn to Love YOURSELF. It sounds to me like you have done a great job of straightening out YOUR life.....do you ever reward yourself??? Do you ever bow your head and thank the Lord for your wonderful life?? It's too bad that your family doesn't acknowledge the struggle that quitting smoking is, but so what? YOU be proud of YOU! YOU know the facts....that's what matters here. I feel that you still have some guilt perhaps about your past?? Maybe you need to work that out of your life??? We all make mistakes....and the Lord is "always" there waiting to embrace us and forgive them.....but you have to also forgive yourSELF and move on.
It appears to me that you have done a wonderful job....so leave these feelings that are attached to you "past" and move into the now. It does no good to hold to the past....for the "past" will never change....what changes is what you do NOW. Move on. Hold your head high.....and don't forget the rewards
