‘Be kind to yourself’ – I whisper this to myself when ever I’m having anxious thoughts. Really enjoyed reading everyone’s affirmations. Excellent idea Cecilia. Looking in the mirror is very effective, I do that too Queenie.

i just have to add my favourite affirmations to this post.......:I LOVE AND APPROVE OF MYSELF AS I AM HERE AND NOW :....AND I TRUST THE UNIVERSE TO BRING ME ONLY GOOD .I AM SAFE I AM SAFE I AM SAFE: this ones by louise hay and its for anxiety and i love it..i say it while i,m having my panic attacks.:GOD IS BIGGER THAN ALL MY PROBLEMS:this is one i keep telling myself when i,m stressed....by the way cecilia..excellent idea i think we should keep posting on this topic especially if someone gets something new..love..sanju

Hi Hope everyone had a good day. My favorite affirmation is :- I approve of myself, I love myself, I release the need for Panic Attacks in my life, All is well in my world. I repeat this often in my head and I try to say this out loud facing the mirror and looking myself in the eyes this can be quite difficult but with practice it becomes easier. Have a good nite and sleep tight. ;)

Your quote is so true, Jacqueline. We have to break though this anxiety/panic disorder bit by bit. No matter how small of a progress we make, it's still a piece removed from the big problem. Here's another one of my favorite self-talk affirmations that I've read: Noone else-only I can do what's necessary to heal myself. The sooner I realize and accept this, the more quickly I will progress. This one I use when I have unhealthy thoughts: Healthy thinking is a choice. I choose to think healthy. I AM healthy in my mind, body, and soul. I use these when I meditate and even when I'm just doing stuff. I say them over and over and over again in my head and sometimes out loud. A big part of healing ourselves is to immediately stop those anxious thoughts and to replace them immediately with positive affirmations. Cecilia

I decided to place my favorite affirmation here in the "Challenge your anxious thoughts" because it has helped me so much in my recovery and I'm hoping it will help you as well. Here it is: Everything I need to get better is within me. I would love for everyone to share their favorite self-talk or positive affirmation. We all can use these tools and hopefully others will use them as well in their recovery. Cecilia
