Glad everyone is still doing well, although from the sounds of things, we had all better sit on different sides of the bus to prevent tip-over...
Speaking of diets, my chiropractor put me on a detox diet. He said, now that I wasn't polluting myself every day, it was time to clean house of all the accumulated toxins.
I'm on day 3, pounds lost 3. For the past two days, I've had that same head-in-fog feeling that I had when I first quit smoking. I have given up my gum entirely. One of the things my chiropractor and I talked about was how low blood sugar was definitely a trigger for me, and he said if I started to get bad cravings again, I should blow the diet rather than blow the quit.
So far, it's been the opposite. It actually seems to be getting easier. And I discovered, that having become handy at saying no to the demon nic, saying no to something besides a vegetable or rice is easy as falling off a log. There's just no comparison between wanting a brownie and having a full blown Call-Tutti-Help-Me-MomMom crave.
On the downside, I've been getting up in the mornings feeling twice my age, which is closer to triple digits than I would like. He said this might happen the first week or so, while I started to clean house.
