HI Whynot,I think most smokers dont' even think that they are addicted, and I think they are getting the feeling of being the "social outcasts" now, beacuse you can hardly smoke any where anymore!
I used to hate it myself, when people bugged me about smoking, and I promised myself I would never "be" one of those non smokers. So I have to remind myself, not to bug anyone. But it is hard not to, especially now. I have learned so much about myself through this process, and what it takes to quit. But I also work with three guys who smoke, and they all wish they could quit, and have tried a couple of times. They know I have quit, and I don't bug them about it, and they don't bug me.
If they ask me for tips, I'll be glad to offer some, but understanding that they have to be in the right place to quit....I will leave them to it! I had to learn the hard way that I am one of the most addicted people out there, and I am not by any means out of the woods yet. But I do feel more prepared than any other time in my life and so my focus has to be keeping my self quit and to live and let live. :)
