I just stopped completely after the full 12 weeks. Like I said, the only side-effects from going off was a little edgy and tearful for a couple of days. I almost asked for another 'script, just to be safe (I had failed so many times before), but did not. However, If you are worried about that, you might take your last weekly pack and spread it out over two weeks with just one in the AM.(?) Just a thought...
I had to learn the 'timing' of taking it also, to avoid the tummy upset. I took it immediately following a meal with a full glass of water. Taking it right before eating was a disaster!
I strongly recommend taking the full 12 weeks for the same reasons I stated back in February. I won't consider myself 'safely' quit until all these smoking thoughts cease. Don't get me wrong, the thoughts are manageable and infrequent, but still there. Also, I have failed so much and deep into quits before that I just don't trust myself. However, this has been my longest quit and I have been without any aids that I think I got it right!
