We live, we learn, we grow. I believe that everything happens for a reason. I also believe the phrase when the time is right it will happen. As our lives change, so do the things that are valuable to us. It is pretty safe to say that everyone is here because something has driven them to believe in the value of being a non-smoker and that quitting will somehow enrich our lives. As our quits evolve, it becomes so much easier to go through activities and not even consider smoking. I know the newer quitters are thinking 'yeah right! Sure Lady' but it is true. It really does happen. There have a been a million and one times that I considered giving up the fight. The other day Rusty was kind enough to point out all the things I have accomplished over the last 20 months. I graduated from college; I found a new job as a manager; I bought a new car; I went on a cruise and swam with sting rays; I learned to play golf, I quit smoking; and I have made a lot of really good friends. All of these things have been of value to me and have changed the way I live my life. The most important thing is that I quit smoking. A lot of you don't know my story so I will share some of it with you. One of the reasons I quit smoking was because I wanted to be a manager/leader in my organization. One day, I realized that managers and leaders typically do not smoke. They also spend a lot of time in meetings and I couldn't go for more than an hour without a cigarette. This was just one of the reasons I wanted to quit. I decided to give it my best shot. I was about to give it all up and that is when I found this site. I saw all those that had quit before me and was amazed at their stats. There were people out there that had quit for 30, 60, even 90 days! After looking around I started seeing people who had quit for months, years even and I was amazed! What was their secret? I wanted in on it because if so many others could quit then that meant that there was hope for me too. So I read a lot. Then I found people that were kind, generous, caring, loving and actually helping each other out! Imagine that in the world we live in today! I have been hanging around these boards for a long time now because the things that I valued in life changed. As a result
