Ok, here I go humor me. Some of us have tried to quit in the past and failed for whatever excuse we came up with. I really do mean excuse. I might be censored for this but.. 16 years ago I lost the love of my life in a fatal car crash, I survived with a broken back healed and I can use my legs and live an active life. He used to beg me to quit smoking and I continued to smoke however I quit every illegal drug we were into at that time. Today I went to the cementary and told him I quit smoking. I told him all about this support group and how I am learning to live a new life healthy and happier. You see I had some other addictions at that time and quit after his death. I did this for him, and have maintained that quit. Smoking has been the one thing up until now that I have not been able to stop until I was told of this support group. Yes, this has been my decision to quit however with all the support of my family, coworkers, and friends I have relied on this site most of all to get the true results that I'm seeing. This is because we know first hand what it feels like to quit smoking. People who have never smoked or had any kind of addiction have no idea of how important this is to us and the major accomplishment of even going one day without a cigarette means to us. I have received some wonderful support and advise here that I could not get from anyone else. I'm feeling better and amazed that no one has given up on me or anyone else here and I love you all for it. We're all in this together. God bless!!
