WHO YOU CALLIN' OLD!...
Wow, there's alot of heart-string-pulling memories being flung about on the site today. I don't get on as often as I used to either but today I felt a tug to check in. First, I came across the Bubba thread [Wow... again.] Now I'm chimin' in w/ a Bunch o' Quitters!
You know, I just realized that I, too, have become more aware of ME since I quit. I never thought about it before but I'm definitely speaking up for myself more often than I used to, (sometimes the hubby wishes I would stop...) And I have more confidence to try things & go places that I never thought I would. Quitting smoking has been more 'free-ing' than anything I've ever experienced. I would recommend it to anyone (except people who never smoked, I guess. They're missing out!)
Great idea, Lady. Thanks. It warms my little heart to [virtually] hear that we're all doing well. I imagine the Quitters that follow us will probably be encouraged to know it just gets better and better. Sure hope we hear from some others. How about a quarterly check-in date? Anybody up for it? We could call it the Reunion Post & pick a date in June, Sept, Dec & March to have a shout out. Let us know what you think.
