Oh Bobbi, Let it all go hon. Let those tears flow. Many of us have gone through the same thing where we just don't feel like our 'normal' selves anymore. When you think about it we are not our 'normal' selves anymore -- We are BETTER than 'normal' because we are now non smoker's. With every tear you shed you are purging that horrible nicodemon inside. Your emotions may run amuck every now and then, just allow it to happen. By allowing it to you are cleansing your body and your mind and you are continuing to heal from all those years as a smoker ! We're here for you with all the support and love we can give .. Call on us often and let us know how you are doing today ok ? Bobbi, You are doing fine, stay strong! Make sure you are working the program provided here at the SSC and dig deep to make these new emotions you are feeling positive. And when negativity and bad vibes come your way, deal with them head on! BUT remember, take baby steps, we can't complete this journey in a day or a year, we've got a lifetime of habits to makeover. Be kind to yourself and stay as positive as you can. We are all here to help! Hang on, Bobbi. You're doing great & I think boxerfan is right. it seems a lot of people have trouble around the 60 day mark. You're doing this & doing it beautifully. You can keep doing it. Bobbi, I have tough times occasionally, also. I think it's just a process that you have to go through. Bobbi, you smoked for a long time, so it is going to take a while for your body and mind to adjust to this change. When times get tough Bobbi, do what you're doing now. Come here for support and use those coping strategies that you used early on in your quit. I've read some posts about having tough times at 30, and 60 days, and I'm thinking that is what you are experiencing Bobbi. Just hold on tight Bobbi and don't let go. It will pass and you will feel great about making it past this little bump in the road of your journey to freedom. Ok, I will have been on the 7 mg. patch a week this Tuesday and have another wone to go then off nic completely. I am having the worst time I have had in the two mo. I have quit, the way I had felt until now was so up and thinking if this is all there is to it I have it made, so happy, then out of the blue I am having a hard time being happy, feel very tearful, sad, such a terriable feeling after the way I have felt, hard time dealing with this. also has any one felt like this.....I feel emotions that I have never felt before some good and some bad, like I don't know who I am anymore, like I have been sleeping, or am a new baby learning everything all over again, and after smoking 50 years and at 65 is so upsetting and I don't quit know how to deal with this,Wow to start all over at 65????? get upset at my husband sometimes as I told him he just goes on every day like normal, nothing has changed in his life at all and mine has been turned upside down and I am smart enough to know this is all for a good thing and I am glad I am doing it and would have it no other way but how do I deal??????? Help!!!!!! the other day I told my daughter what was I thinking when I said I was quitting smoking, things were just fine then, lol lol no not really but I am just having such a hard time, and don't worry ....I will not smoke again, no matter what just hope you all can help me deal with all this. I am just so confused, I want my old self back but without soking!!!!! hugs and prayers, Bobbi Sorry I rambled on so long but at this point can't help it I am so desperate! :( My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 61 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,830 Amount Saved: $152.50 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 1 Mins: 37 Seconds: 8
