Oh, Joe Camel...
But I digress...I wish I had all the money I spent on cigarettes back. I could buy me & you a backpack and an RV instead of a tent and we'd go camping in style.
It was a brilliant marketing scheme when you think about it, and a lot of companies followed suit, like pepsi & camel. But they could still use their camel back then, Joe Cool.

OK now I feel REALLY ripped off. Not only are cigarettes way more expensive here but all I ever got from smoking them was broke, a cough, smelly clothes & a hard time from my kids!!

Hey I just got that same love letter in the mail! Cigarette coupons. It is the miles promo. Although the backpack we got from them was very durable and we still use it today, it doesn't have a logo or anything. Of course, you had to smoke like a ton of cigarettes to get it LOL!

I think a Marlboro Mile was the distance I was willing to walk at Atlanta Airport when I had 15 minutes to spare before my flight began its boarding process.
Once there I sat in the luxury accomodation of one of those glass smoke-filled fishtank rooms with a view of airport conduit and old leaky plumbing.
Oh come on, you know the place, it is the room you would sit in and be on display for the hundreds of people who would walk by and stare at you like some sort of Zoo animal.
I always wondered what they were thinking as they walked by,... Now I know!
it is so nice of philip morris to offer us a red sleeping bag, a flashlight, and a rugged marlboro man jean jacket. All their products seem to be for the Great Outdoors. Don't they know that smokers are sedentary...they sit and smoke. I suppose, once you get to your campsite, you could sit and smoke around the fire. What an advertising deception! Funny thread!

John,
The answer is NONE, not available. By the time you're in the market for those there's not much of a business relationship left to nurture. Good luck to you and do you know someone who would be interested in hearing about all the great products available...

What's a marlboro mile? Is it the distance you can walk while smoking before you have to stop & cough up a lung?
