The sense of pride I have for doing this Smelling so much better Not missing the fun because I'm outside smoking Being able to fly to the mainland (minimum 5 hrs) without the anticipatory dread, and not having to race outside between flights All of this money I am saving Feeling soooo much better My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 131 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,240 Amount Saved: $890.80 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 8 Mins: 13 Seconds: 13

For me, never having to worry if someone comes to the door. I always felt so self-conscious if someone came to the house and it smelled of smoke and I would sometimes put people off coming round because I knew it would interfere with my smoking routine! Gen My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 125 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,000 Amount Saved: 625.00 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 14 Mins: 40 Seconds: 30

All of the previous, but what really strikes me is how liberating it is! No more smoking crap to carry around, (cigs, lighers, matches, etc etc etc,) and just the pure freedom from it! Extra time yes, and being able to breathe freely! Yippee I am a non smoker! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 148 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,700 Amount Saved: $1,561.40 Life Gained: Days: 18 Hrs: 2 Mins: 49 Seconds: 19

Here's a few reasons why I enjoy my quit so much... 1. I like the fact that I am saving money and not wasting it every week. (x2 for money saved from my husband) 2. I enjoy feeling healthier...able to run upstairs and not be out of breath anymore. Also being able to exercise. 3. I smell so much better...my hair, clothes, car, etc. 4. I love not feeling restricted to where I can go. (would have never gone to a non-smoking resturant before!) 5. And most of all I am proud of myself...now my lungs will be able to be normal again, like I never even smoked!(I'm only 32, so they will completely heal) Its all sooo worth it! Words can really not explain! All you new bees out there, you can do it! If we all did, you can too! We are all here for you! Thanks Mister Ed! I love the time gained when quitting! Time was so wasted when smoking and now there is plenty of it to go around! Family Game night is a must :) Josie, Support Specialist

I thought that it might be a good idea for any of you who are NOT new quitters to let the new ones know what IS so good about quitting. I'm sure we've done this before, but new quitters wouldn't know about that. Please also post your Quit Meter or length of your quit. OK, I'll start.... I'm Mister Ed, 530 days into my quit. Here's my top 5 1) I used to be told that 'there is light at the end of the tunnel'. I am now at the end of the tunnel. 2) I can now enjoy ANY activity in life without wanting to smoke. 3) This is without doubt my greatest achievement and I feel very proud of myself. 4) In the early stages of my quit, I doggedly said 'I will not smoke'. Now I know I will not smoke and have no desire to. 5) I always believed that quitting was a sacrifice. Not so, and in time you too can be free and feel the freedom from the addiction. Please add to this post :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 533 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 15,990 Amount Saved: 3,997.50 Life Gained: Days: 85 Hrs: 15 Mins: 54 Seconds: 2
