28 day Melt Down

Hi blue cloud, we should just have a crying party today cuz I know exactly how you're feeling. I've been crying all morning. It sucks! But mine is more from heartache than missing being a smoker but then at the same time the junkie in my head has been telling me to start smoking again to help me get through my heartache. But yesterday when Lady was talking me home past all the gas stations, she said to just conquer both things at the same time. All I know is I'm still really sad & still smoke-free. I know that cig's really won't change my situation and I'll still be sad. Just like if I got back together with my boyfriend. The situation wouldn't change & I'd still be sad. So no matter how I look at it, no matter what I do, the saddness is here to stay for awhile. It sucks! So blue cloud no matter what the reason is for being sad isn't the point but the point as I see it is that it's still about growing up emotionally. It's hard to let ourselves feel bad. Nobody likes to feel pain :( But we are not our feelings. Feelings come and go through us constantly. The way we handle/ re-act to our feelings shows our character. This is a hard one for me but it's true, at least the way I see it through my eyes :) Hang in there with me blue cloud. I don't know if I'm gonna make it or not, this quit, but if you give up it will give more power to the junkie in my head. I think it's ok for kids to see us cry. Then maybe someday they won't be trying to quit smoking. Just breathe....... No, No, No!!!! It's called the 30 day pit. It is perfectly normal but it really really sucks when you fall in. I'm throwing you a rope right now. Grab hold and we'll pull you out. The 30 day pit was one of the worse times in my quit. I even remember the post about it. If I can find it and it isn't gone, I'll bump it up for you. Meanwhile, know that you are just fine. The grandkids probably didn't even notice you were upset. You know how kids are. You are going to be fine. Tie that rope around your waste and don't let go. This is the part of the quit that a lot of people give up. We can't let that happen to you. Go ahead and cry, you are allowed. A pint of ice cream and a PJ day on the sofa are also part of this part of the quit. Hang in there. You are doing fine. I have been very emotional today. I went to town to have lunch with my daughter and grandkids and wound up crying all through lunch. No matter what I did the tears just kept flowing. I was not expecting this and frankly was not to thrilled for my grand children to watch me melt. For hours I have been tearing up just out of the blue. Is this just my body's way of getting rid of the last signs of nicotine? I have heard the body renews it's self every 28 day cycle.BLUE CLOUD My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/4/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 28 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 560 Amount Saved: $112.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 19 Mins: 18 Seconds: 8
