smoking and snoring?

for 17 år siden 0 363 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have sleep apnea, I cannot tolerate using the mask, nor do I use any meds. I used to live in a split level house, the kids' bedrooms were downstairs, and my exwife and I slept upstairs. I used to snore so bad I would wake the kids up while they were sleeping in there bedrooms downstairs. As for now, I can't tell you for sure, because I sleep alone. But I do know before when i got up for work at 4:30am, I didn't feel like I slept at all, I would be tired all day. Now, 81 days into my quit, when I wake up I feel rested, I feel 100% better in the morning than I did before. LOL, yes Apparently I am less 'noisey' now that I am a non smoker! However, told Hubby my hearing is better now and he is louder! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 169 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,225 Amount Saved: $1,782.95 Life Gained: Days: 20 Hrs: 17 Mins: 33 Seconds: 28

My husband's snoring has decreased dramatically since he stopped smoking! Another nice benefit :) Boxerfan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 146 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,920 Amount Saved: $730.00 Life Gained: Days: 12 Hrs: 19 Mins: 5 Seconds: 28

Well I wouldn't know because ladies don't snore but a decrease in snoring may correspond to an oft-reported increase in that other thing that ladies don't do! Hey Quig - I don't know personally since I would never admit that I snore - actually hubby says I "purrrr", but my brother (who was a 3 pack a day smoker) says he doesn't snore nearly as much. Also, he has one of those machines for sleep apnea and his last sleep test went so well he doesn't have to use the machine. Hello, I am curious to know if there is any link to smoking and snoring? For some reason I have the suspicion that smokers may be either more frequent and/or intense snorers than non-smokers...does anybody have any knowledge or opinions on this? cheers, quig My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 1 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 14 Amount Saved: $3.15 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 4 Mins: 18 Seconds: 4
