Hi Lady,
As Josie said, you are on top form today!!!
I started smoking aged 16 years and smoked for 40 years. I was an adolescent in her fifties for about 2 years!!!! It was such a huge difference to face all those emotions for the first time without my crutch.
Audrey, good luck with your interview!
To you and anyone else......I read somewhere before I quit that the whole process of quitting takes 2 years or thereabouts............that was one of the reasons I was so scared to do it! It seemed such a long time. What was not explained clearly enough was the detail of what took so long......
The physical adaption of the body to life after 40 years of poison.
The management of anger.
The emotional controls that need to be learned.
There was so much to learn....the list is so long, but learn we do and life imperceptibly becomes mature, adult and organised, and before you know it, you have grown up in your quit.....you are comfortable with not only your quit but your life.
As Lady said, if you can quit smoking you can do anything, so hang on to that fact and go out and do it........you deserve it!
NEVER LOOK BACK, THE FUTURE IS AHEAD.
Lolly. :)
